The City is pleased to introduce a new guide, Foxtail Be Gone, which contains prevention and control techniques for foxtail barley.
Arrival of Transit in Brighton
After much anticipation, Transit is coming to Brighton on May 31, 2021.
As of May 31, 2021 riders can request a trip to and from any transit stop throughout the entire city including Brighton and the new Costco! This service will be available from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., transfer-free or with connections to our high frequency corridors.

Foxtail Barley Enforcement 2021
The City received a report back in March 2021 outlining the Administration's plan to enforce Foxtail Barley proactively for the 2021 season. Due to time constraints in March, the report was only considered by the Standing Policy Committee on Planning, Development and Community Services in April. Brighton Concept Plan Amendment
Brighton residents, please note an application has been made to amend the Concept Plan for the neighbourhood.
The amendment proposes several reconfigurations in the west, and southern portions of the neighbourhood. This includes changes to some of the land uses, street network, linear park design, and service networks.
