With a beautiful summer underway, I hope everyone is enjoying this last week of August.

With a busy month of updates underway, I will just jump right in. This months newsletter contains updates specific to our ward, what to expect before Council this month and details about upcoming Community Association AGMs.

Highlights include:

There is a lot to celebrate this month! June is both Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month. Find ways to recognize and learn more by checking out OUTSaskatoon and the Office of the Treaty Commissioner for events taking place this month. While there are many ways to participate, these are just two places to start. 

I also want to congratulate all the grads who are celebrating graduations this month. Mazel tov to you and your families!

Residents from both East College Park and Briarwood have proposed a community garden for the East College Park neighbourhood. Learn more about this initiative and share your feedback.

• COVID-19: masking in civic spaces;
• Recycling depot improvements and review; and
• The Knox United Church Heritage Designation Amendment Bylaw.

As our beautiful fall turns into some colder weather, I have prepared some updates for our Ward 8 neighbourhoods. 

Here are a few items of interest on the upcoming City Council agenda:

• Timing for waste and organics utilities
• Exploration of a bylaw regarding gathering limits
• Code of Conduct Complaint
• SaskWater Master Service and Transition Agreement
• Allowing pets on leash in Kiwansis Memorial Park
• Information for 2022/2023 budget

An annual $61 million budget for road rehabilitation and maintenance ensures Saskatoon’s streets, bridges and sidewalks remain safe and long-lasting. 

Neighbourhood snow removal gets underway ❄️❄️

The City started removing snow from residential streets on Dec. 2 in response to the severe snow accumulation in November that left many residential streets impassable.
