Ward Boundary Review Underway

Public feedback requested: Ward Boundary Review.
Early planning for the 2020 municipal/school boards’ elections to be held in fall 2020 is already underway. One of the first steps is to review the boundaries of the ten current wards to ensure they all have equal population numbers, according to The Cities Act.

Changing four ward boundaries (Wards 5, 7, 8 and 10) to ensure all ten wards comply with the legislated population range could also affect the boundaries of other wards. The Community Association you belong to, or the City Councillor you've had to-date could change, we know this is important to residents.

Your input will help draw the new ward boundary lines! Couldn't make the in-person event on June 19, 2019? It’s easy to participate online through a brief survey at saskatoon.ca/engage. Email preference? Send your comments to [email protected] or drop off your suggestions at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall. Complete your feedback by July 31, 2019 for this first phase of consultation.

All public input received will be taken into consideration by the Municipal Wards Commission. Once ward boundary options have been drafted, further public engagement will be held in fall 2019 to receive feedback prior to final decisions being made.
